Hi everyone! My name is Dylan Riley (he/him), and I’m one of the co-presidents of Podemos here at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I’m originally from Snoqualmie, Washington, and growing up in a small town really shaped my passion for rural and underserved medicine. I’m currently in the Community Medicine track, with strong interests in global and public health, especially in advancing care for marginalized communities. Outside of medicine, you’ll usually find me hiking in the mountains or spending time by the lake—anything that gets me outdoors. I’m really excited to connect with all of you and hope to see you at one of our brigades soon!

Sana serves as the current PODEMOS publicity chair. She is a class of 2029 medical student at The Ohio State College of Medicine and participated in the 2025 winter brigade. As a second generation immigrant and first generation medical student, Sana is passionate about global health and serving underserved, low resource populations. She is particularly interested in the role of ultrasound as a diagnostic and interventional tool in low resource communities.

Veena is part of the Chronic Care team for PODEMOS. Her passion for global health started in undergrad when she majored in International Studies and Spanish. Since then, she has worked with various communities of color in the U.S., including refugee and immigrant populations in hopes of promoting health equity. She is excited to expand her reach by coordinating and organizing chronic care in Honduras during the interim brigades.

Anitha serves as the Pharmacy Chair for PODEMOS and is a Class of 2028 PharmD candidate at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. Following her work on the 2025 winter brigade, she became deeply committed to improving medication access in resource-limited settings. She is passionate about making a lasting impact through clinical outreach and patient-centered preventative care. In the coming year, Anitha is excited to advocate for health equity and expand the organization’s reach to better serve global communities.

Charles Franz is a medical student at the Ohio State College of Medicine. He possesses a passion for accessible healthcare models, both globally and across the US. As a fundraising chair, Charles enjoys networking with community leaders who are passionate about empowering others. As a student, he regularly attends PODEMOS brigades with the hope of serving the global community as a physician.

Vanessa is a class of 2029 medical student at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and serves as a PODEMOS fundraiser chair member. Her passion for global health stems from experiences abroad helping communities in Guatemala and Costa Rica. She loves learning about various cultures and wants to practice abroad as a future physician. She plans to attend the PODEMOS trip in May of 2026 and cannot wait to continue to advocate for communities globally.
